Programme Description
The maths mastery programme runs throughout the academic year and is structured into 6-week blocks.
Lessons will challenge pupils to:
- Develop deep mathematical understanding and mastery beyond the Year 5 curriculum.
- Gain confidence and fluency with arithmetic and problem solving.
- Strengthen reasoning skills by encouraging pupils to explain, justify and evaluate mathematical methods.
- Build resilience when tackling problems that require creativity and perseverance.
- Prepare for grammar school and independent school entrance examinations through exposure to exam-style questions.
